Presenter Bio
My name is Makaria Baptiste, and I am from the beautiful island of St Maarten, located in the Caribbean. I currently attend the University of Nebraska Kearney where I am a freshman. The bachelor’s degree I am pursuing is a double major of both Psychology and Social Work. In the future I intend to become a clinical social worker in the hopes of contributing to my community and the world, by decreasing the amount of mental health cases present in my respective community. I feel like music is a huge part of my life because I use it as means of channeling my emotions, as well as using it to help me portray the good values in life that I hold dear to me.
