Abstract/Description
Diverse familial heritage is a key component of the modern American landscape. The goal of this project was to highlight the ways in which different heritages are passed down through the generations. It also sought to explore how a person’s heritage impacts them in their daily lives. In exploring this topic, the author intended to bring awareness to readers and inspire them to more closely examine how their heritage impacts not only their pasts and present but their futures. The mystery genre was also explored by having the main character’s primary focus be to unravel the secrets of her heritage. This work should be viewed as a coming-of-age story, that age being 30 years old.
