Kearney played Chadron for the 1961 Homecoming game.
"Today's game between the Kearney Antelopes and Chadron Eagles will be the 34th meeting between the two colleges in the series which began in 1921. NSC has won 22, lost 11 and tied 1 with the Chadron elevens. The largest Kearney victory was a 53 to 13 win in 1953 while Chadron's biggest margin was a 27 to 3 victory in 1924. Chadron's last win was in 1948.
Both teams are battling for a win today to escape the bottom half of the conference standings. The game should be a fine Homecoming tilt as both teams have the ability to break the game wide open at any time."
