Biography

Clarence Strand attended high school and college in Kearney; after receiving additional education in Omaha, Dr. Strand practiced medicine in Kearney and in Amherst.

He was posthumously awarded the Gold Star for his actions of bravery while in a Japanese prisoner of war camp on the Philippine islands.
