Biography
Harold Bloom was from Holdrege Nebraska. He attended Nebraska State Teachers College at Kearney before leaving for military service as a naval aviator. He completed flight training at Hastings, Nebraska and St. Mary's College, California. After earning his commission he was sent to Olathe, Kansas where he served as a flying instructor. He was killed in a plane crash while in Olathe.
