Abstract/Description

This case study investigates ways educators assess student artwork while focusing on the assessment criteria of five different instructional approaches in art education. This qualitative inquiry is informed by participant questionnaires and an analysis of participant assessment criteria that teachers implement in their classrooms. This paper observes assessment strategies from within the classroom, and analyzes the assessment strategies implemented on student Artsonia projects. (Note. Artsonia is an online platform for art teachers to create portfolios for each student and share artwork with family, staff, and the community.)
