Abstract/Description

Art education longs to prove its efficiency and effectiveness in providing essential lifelong skills to young students in schools. The purpose of this qualitative case study is to show the benefits and variations of a different teaching method, Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB), compared to other methods that many educators use. Data will be collected from teachers in art classrooms who use the method of TAB and incorporate the Studio Habits of Mind, through interview surveys and student artifacts. This study will impact arts educators by providing information regarding a different and perhaps beneficial way to deliver holistic and effective curricula to students.
