Biography
Mr. Condon’s focus as a federal employee at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was in various positions such as budget analyst for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and then as a management analyst for the same institute. As a person with disabilities, he served in advisory roles for NIH’s equal employment of people with disabilities. He formed and served on committees, and he worked with the Surgeon General and the NIH Director as an advocate regarding hiring people with disabilities. He advised on special needs and accommodations for employees depending on their abilities. He was instrumental in orchestrating changes to the environment of the Public Health Service and NIH. Mr. Condon also advised on hiring equality for individuals with disabilities. After retiring from NIH, he worked as a travel agent where he assisted travelers with disabilities to secure accommodations that met their needs.
