Abstract
As the rise of social media has overtaken our lives it has become a hub for people to find all different types of information, whether it be true or false. Due to this rise of social media we have seen many different platforms starting to surface including one of the most popular, Tik Tok. While conducting my research I wanted to examine how social media has made it even more possible for people to find ways on how to self induce an abortion at home. This information has been floating through social media and the internet for years but with the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022 it has only increased the popularity of this information. While exploring this information on Tik Tok I have found five main ways of self inducing an abortion, that have grown to be very popular. While going through Tik Tok and my research, the tools that people are advocating to self induce come from social, political, and religious stigma. My goal is to advocate and educate on how dangerous these options can be on the body because of the large amount of misinformation that people are putting out on Tik Tok.

Presenter Bio
Paige Jones is a junior at UCO who is majoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality and minoring in Strategic Communications. After undergrad she is going to a masters program to study Strategic Communication with a focus in PR and diversity.
