Biography
Charles Haney was from a farm near Rising City. He graduated from Rising City High School in 1936. He then taught school and attended classes at Nebraska State Teachers College at Kearney.
He enlisted in the Army Air Force in his Junior year of college. He died as a result of appendicitis while in training at Camp Forrest, Tennessee.
