Biography
Lawrence Weidman was from Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a member of the varsity football team of Nebraska State Teachers College, which he attended three years. He was majoring in physical education, intending to make a career of football coaching.
Weidman enlisted in the Army Air Force, having learned to fly while at Kearney. He was killed in a plane crash in Florida in December 28, 1943.
