Leo J. Atkisson was from Broken Bow, Nebraska. He was the Son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Atkisson. He commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy and served in the Naval Air Corps. He died in a training plane crash in Florida just two weeks after commissioning.
