Abstract/Description
This study explores the level of critical consciousness of students by introducing contemporary artists who explore critical issues in their work. In this action research study, I examine my student’s artwork and written reflections before and after introducing them to multiple contemporary artists. I will explore the ways that these artists can encourage students to create artwork that has a higher level of critical consciousness.
