This paper explores the the root causes of disproportionate rates of sex trafficking amongst Indigenous women, current policies and legislation that attempt to protect victims of sex trafficking, and policy recommendations to help mitigate sex trafficking amongst Indigenous women.

Presenter Bio
Becca (she/they) is currently a senior at UNK. Becca currently lives Kansas City, Missouri, where she is committed to educational equity in the metropolitan area and works in high-needs special education. As both a queer and nuerodivergent educator, Becca believes providing students with representative and inclusive spaces is essential to a meaningful education. They plan to attend graduate school for special education and work on advocating for providing students with the services they need. She enjoys reading, writing, gardening, and making art.
