Abstract
Since Citibank’s decision to move its credit card operations to Sioux Falls, SD in 1981, South Dakota has become one of the premier locations for financial services in the United States. This transformation has attracted companies within the FinTech space who are in need of fresh talent to grow their business. This paper examines the evolution of financial services in Sioux Falls, the changing workforce demands of these companies, and Augustana University's role in addressing regional talent needs through strategic partnerships.
